Hurry: Round 2 of ARPA Funding Closes October 4th

The Greene County Commission is back with a second round of ARPA funding, and it's specifically targeted towards our local businesses affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. If you missed out on the first round or weren't aware of it, you now have another chance. 

The Highlights

  • Available Funding: Greene County has earmarked $2.5 million for this round.
  • Application Window: The period is set from Sept. 13 to Oct. 4, 2023.
  • Amount per Application: Businesses can apply for up to $49,999 each.

Eligibility

  • Must be located in Greene County, Missouri.
  • Operates as a for-profit entity or a family-owned farm with 100 or fewer full-time employees, including the owner(s).
  • Has been operational in Greene County since March 1st, 2020.
  • Does not have undocumented immigrant workers and must be enrolled in E-Verify for W-2 employees.
  • Must provide evidence of negative impacts due to COVID-19 since March 1, 2020.
  • Cannot be suspended or barred from utilizing federal funds.

Permitted Uses

  • Revenue Loss Mitigation: Funds can support payroll, employee retention, rent, utility costs, and other operational expenses due to revenue decline or business closure.
  • Covering Unexpected Expenses: This can include costs for measures like enhancing cleaning, changes in the physical workspace to allow social distancing, or initiating COVID-19 vaccination and testing programs.

Non-Permitted Uses

  • Non-business debts
  • Personal expenditures such as buying a family car or home repairs
  • Political activities, taxes, and fines
  • Purchase of personal items or drugs, tobacco, and alcohol
  • Non-business-related food, entertainment, bonuses, or travel

The deadline to apply is October 4, 2023, which is only a few days from now. If you think your business qualifies, you will need to apply using the link below no later than Wednesday, October 4, 2023.
