Hurry: Round 2 of ARPA Funding Closes October 4th

The Greene County Commission is back with a second round of ARPA funding, and it's specifically targeted towards our local businesses affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. If you missed out on the first round or weren't aware of it, you now have another chance.  The Highlights Available Funding : Greene County has earmarked $2.5 million for this round. Application Window : The period is set from Sept. 13 to Oct. 4, 2023. Amount per Application : Businesses can apply for up to $49,999 each. Eligibility Must be located in Greene County, Missouri. Operates as a for-profit entity or a family-owned farm with 100 or fewer full-time employees, including the owner(s). Has been operational in Greene County since March 1st, 2020. Does not have undocumented immigrant workers and must be enrolled in E-Verify for W-2 employees. Must provide evidence of negative impacts due to COVID-19 since March 1, 2020. When Are 2022 Taxes Due? A better question might be: When aren't 2022 taxes due? Depending on your specific situation many deadlines may apply.  It would be helpful to mark these dates on your calendar. Important Tax Deadlines and Dates The IRS has set the following deadlines for the upcoming tax season:  January 23, 2023 – IRS begins accepting turns  January 17, 2023 – Fourth quarter estimated payments due for tax year 2022  February 1, 2023 – Employers must mail W-2 forms  April 18, 2023 – Tax Day/federal returns and payments due, final day for 401k contributions and extensions October 16, 2023 – Late filing deadline   Below, you’ll find more important tax dates for 2023. 2022 Tax Law Changes

Thank goodness 2022 is behind us; I'm looking forward to a better 2023!  Once tax season is out of the way it should be onward and upward...but first we have to survive it.  This is a relatively quiet year for income tax changes and after a few years of upheaval we are certainly grateful for that.
